Introduction about grade 10 math patterns:
Find the 12th term of an A.P. 6, 1, -4…
Solution:
Consider the A.P in the form a, a +d, a + 2d…
Here, a = 6, d = 1 – 6 = -5, n = 12
tn = a + (n-1) d
t12 = 6 + (12 – 1) (-5) = 6 + (11x – 5) = 6 – 55 = -49
The 12th term is – 49
Growing up with Mathematics is very easy.
