Introduction to plot line graph:
Scatter plot and line graphs are the important types of graphs in math. Scatter plot is mainly used to collection of large data and with the help of this we have to determine the position of the data. Line graphs are similar to scatter plots but here individual data is marked on the graph and they are joined by the line. In this article we are going to study about scatter plot and line graph with suitable diagrams and examples.

Scatter plots:
Scatter plots describes the relation between 2 variables by displaying dot points on the 2 dimensional graphs. The variable that is marked in the x axis is known as the explanatory variable and then the variable that is marked in the y axis is known as the response variable. Here scatter a line plot are marked by the dot in the graph plane. But this dot represents the several number of data.

Uses of scatter plots:
Scatter plots provides the relationship between two variables. They are strength and their size, outliers and then shape.
Resultant facts:
  • Data points are closed under the trend line with an upward slope then that scatter plot has strong positive correlation
  • Data points are closed under the trend line with an downward slope then that scatter plot has strong negative correlation
  • Data points are look like shotgun blast then no correlation is there Look here for math help.
