In our today's session we will learn about Rectangle and formula for area of a rectangle.
In Euclidean plane Geometry a rectangle is any quadrilateral with four right angles. A rectangle is a special case of a parallelogram,, whose opposite sides are equal in length and parallel to each other. A rectangle is cyclic which means that all the corners lie on a single circle. The two Diagonals of a Rectangle are parallel and bisect each other. A rectangle is defined by its width, height, and upper-left corner represented by the Location property.
Formula for calculating area of a rectangle is as follows:-
Area = length*width
The perimeter of rectangle is the distance around the outside of the rectangle. A rectangle has four sides with opposite sides being congruent.The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of the lengths of the sides of the rectangle.
The formula for finding the perimeter of rectangle
P = 2(l + w)
